  1. Is iTeufel compatible with my iPod?
    iTeufel has been carefully tested and is compatible with following iPod models:

    • iPod 3rd generation 10/15/20/30/40 GB
    • iPod 4th generation 20/30/40/60 GB
    • iPod 5th generation 30/60/80 GB
    • iPod Video 30 GB/60/80 GB
    • iPod Photo 30 GB/40/60 GB
    • iPod U2 20/30 GB
    • iPod Mini 4/6 GB
    • iPod Nano 1/2/4 GB
    • iPod Nano 2nd generation 2/4/8 GB
    • iPod Nano 3rd generation 4/8 GB
    • iPod Classic 80/160 GB

    Caution

    This iTeufel product is currently not compatible with latest generation Apple iPod (Fall 2008). This applies to the following models:

    • iPod Nano 4th generation 8/16 GB
    • iPod Classic 120 GB
    • iPod Touch 2nd generation 8/16/32 GB

    Reason:
    Apple has made significant changes to the charging components of the latest models, which constitute a clear difference to previous models.

    iTeufel Dock comes with four adapters that fit these iPod models:

    • iPod Video 30 GB
    • iPod Video 60 GB
    • iPod Nano 1/2/4 GB
    • iPod Nano 2/4/8 GB 2nd generation

    Despite fitting the docking connector only loosely, it will function properly!

    If you use iTeufel products with iPod models not listed, you do so at your own risk.

    Teufel will not accept any liabilities resulting from possible damage due to this use.

    Reason:
    Apple has made significant changes to the charging components of the latest models, which constitute a clear difference to previous models.

    Result:
    Connecting one of the above listed models to the docking connector of any iTeufel product could result in damage to iPod of the latest generation!

    Teufel will not be accountable for possible damage occurring due to use of these iPod models with any iTeufel device not compatible with it.

    Notice:
    An external docking station certified for current model iPod can be used with an iTeufel product, when connected through the additional line-in. The primary docking connector on the iTeufel device however can still only be connected to iPod models released BEFORE fall 2008.

  8. Does the display output for videos and photos of iTeufel Dock work with year 2007 iPod?
    Unfortunately it does not. This is due to changes of software specifications implemented by Apple, effectively disabling this function in any docking station product (including those of other manufacturers) available until now.

    All functions relevant to music playback continue to be fully operative. This applies to:

    • iPod Nano 3rd generation 4/8 GB
    • iPod Classic 80/160 GB
    • iPod Touch 1st generation 8/16/32 GB

    The iTeufel Dock v2 supports the new USB technology from Apple – and also the iPod models that were introduced in Autumn 2008.

    iTeufel Dock comes with four adapters that fit these iPod models:

    • iPod Video 30 GB
    • iPod Video 60 GB
    • iPod Nano 1/2/4 GB
    • iPod Nano 2/4/8 GB 2nd generation

    Should you be unable to find a fitting adapter for your particular iPod, you can obtain it under www.apple.com among others. The optimal adapter only ensures a firm fit – technically you can connect your iPod without the adapter! Despite fitting the docking connector only loosely, it will function properly!

  11. Is any iTeufel product compatible with iPhone?
    No. All iTeufel products are "made for the iPod" but not licenced as "works with iPhone."
    That's why we do not recommend attaching an iPhone to any of our iTeufel products. Teufel cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from using an iPhone with an iTeufel product.

    Unfortunately, it's not possible to use the Scosche adapter with an iTeufel Dock. At the present time we have no compatability to iPod accessories for the newest generation.

    In principle, yes. Because the individual docking stations merely ensure that a device is held in the best possible and secure way – they do not have any influence on the acoustic characteristics.
