Floor Speaker UL 800

In our 30th year, Teufel presents the Ultima 800, a system that showcases our combined years of loudspeaker experience bundled into one product. The Ultima 800 is uncompromisingly high-end – but still so practical as only a Teufel product can be.

Materials + Knowledge
The Ultima 800 impresses as a HiFi stereo standing loudspeaker, that has no peer when combined with its fantastic materials and constructive finesse.

The tweeter
A disproportionately large (33 mm!), cloth tweeter with neodymium magnet and extra long hub provides an absolutely compression free and low-fatigue playback at the highest frequencies.

The mid range drivers
A 10 cm wide mid-range driver with a pure titanium membrane and neodymium magnet guarantees a wide beam behaviour and excellent stability over the entire assigned frequency range with its concave form.

The woofer
You have a total of six woofers in the Ultima 800. Two active and four passive Rohacell carbon sandwich woofers (each a fantastic 170 mm) achieve the best playback through a double-layered material mix and klippel optimisation.

The frequency crossover
The sustain control circuitry is one of the highlights of the Ultima 800 – and here only the most elite of components are used: durable film capacitors and distortion-free air coils that avoid the microphonic effects. This highly-bred frequency crossover significantly assists the linearity by +- 1 dB over the entire frequency range.

The housing
This still-moderately sized speaker (43 liters) surprises through its high weight of over 31 kilos – caused also in part by an extremely massive housing that comes in high-gloss black or walnut. The tapered form of the sound wall eliminates the run-time differences between the high and midrange tones for optimal playback. A secure stand is achieved through the steel construction of four spikes. You’ll usually only find a speaker with a refined appearance of this sort in the five-digit price range…

The Extras
The Ultima 800 has four passive woofers cast in the lower frequency range instead of a traditional bass reflex opening. The benefits of this well thought-out solution for you are: higher level strengths, no unwanted mid-range frequencies from the reflex tube and the option of individual settings.

Bass-Alignment
Through the four-stage adaption of the rear passive membranes, these precious pieces of loudspeaker treasure can be customised to different spaces and amplifiers (damping factor!) These crucial influences are then much easier to handle. The Ultima 800 owner has room to experiment.

High end
With the Ultima 800 Teufel presents a high end loudspeaker that doesn’t just sound better but also significantly raises the bar in terms of affordable high-end stereo transducers. Through this, the bass alignment is also guaranteed so that the boxes always play optimally.
