Teufel Concept P
This 5.1 home cinema set was specifically designed to meet the aesthetic demands of flat screen owners. The designer’s starting point: keep it flat. It must be possible to install or hang the speakers on a wall, or at least position them discreetly around the room. We created the Concept P with these demands in mind.
The Concept P consists of two ultra-flat column speakers, each with a depth of only 5.5 cm, two wall-mounted speakers that are just as thin, a centre channel speaker and an extremely slender subwoofer to be optimally positioned near a wall. Since it requires very little floor space for installation, the Concept P is perfect for use in small rooms.
The extremely thin design of the five satellite speakers was made possible by a masterstroke of construction: Rather than following the standard approach of placing neodym magnets on the rear speaker chassis, we placed them on the front, which allowed us to reduce the depth of the enclosure by 50% for an extraordinarily flat design.
Equally decisive: The enclosure is made of pure aluminium instead of wood, which ensures much greater stability and lower wall depth. And the brushed aluminium looks great!
All five satellite speakers are mounted in the same speaker chassis: two 7 cm midrange drivers and a silk dome that is optimally configured for the treble range. The identical configuration of the five satellite speakers ensures perfect harmonic interaction.
Since the column speakers and satellite speakers are configured in the same way, you can position them according to your space requirements: either the column speakers in the front and the wall-mounted speakers at the back, or vice versa. A heavy cast iron stand provides a solid base for the column speakers and an integrated mounting device allows you to attach the centre channel and satellite speakers both horizontally or vertically.
We are particularly proud of the super-thin subwoofer, which is less than 20 cm deep. Including a 150 watt amplifier and sophisticated bass reflex tuning, the 200 mm subwoofer chassis produces a strong bass tone that you can feel to the pit of your stomach in rooms up to 20 sqm.
The Concept P system offers both the best in audio quality and a super-thin design. Big sound at a small price.

Column Speaker Concept P FR
Each of these column speakers is fitted with two 7 cm mid-range drivers and one silk dome tweeter. With a maximum rating of 100 watts and impedance range of 4–8 ohms, these speakers are compatible with most common AV receiver models.By utilising front-mounted neodymium magnets and a cabinet made solely of aluminium, it was possible to achieve an ultra-flat speaker design. The cast-iron design of the base ensures that speakers are always stable.
The column speakers are only included with 5.1 sets and are not available separately.

Satellite Speaker Concept P FCR
The two FR satellites in Concept P can be used horizontally or vertically. The integrated bracket on the rear of the aluminium cabinet allows these speakers to be connected directly to the wall.Since these speakers are equipped with the same drivers (two 7 cm mid-range cones and a silk dome tweeter each) as the column speakers, they can be used for the front or rear channels. With a maximum power rating of 100 watts and impedance range of 4 to 8 ohms, these speakers can be connected to nearly all types of AV receivers.
The satellites are only included with Concept P systems and are not available separately.

Centre Speaker Concept P C
As with the other speakers in the Concept P set, the centre channel speaker is magnetically screened so that it can be placed next to a TV without causing interference. This speaker can also be placed on a bookshelf without the need for an additional stand (table stand is included) or fastened directly to a wall using the integrated bracket.The identically equipped satellite and column speakers (two 7 cm mid-range cones and one silk dome tweeter) provide for a balanced surround sound experience.
The centre channel speaker cannot be ordered separately and is only available together with the Concept P system.

Subwoofer Concept P SW
Extremely narrow in appearance, the looks of this subwoofer are deceiving as it offers an incredible amount of deep, immersive bass. This bass performance is made possible by the integrated 150 W amplifier, solid 200 mm woofer driver and clever bass reflex design with vertical and down-firing openings.The four anti-vibration rubber feet ensure that the speakers remain stable without producing booming bass frequencies.
This subwoofer is not available separately.

08/2007The Teufel Concept P has completely won over our editorial staff. The patrician aluminium flat satellites and the huge subwoofer present a very high quality and stylish impression. But as with almost everything in life, the intrinsic values are more important for convincing the interested purchaser.
In the DVD area, the Teufel Concept P convinced us as well. The voices come distinctly through the centre speaker and the surround speakers deliver a clear tone. The subwoofer delivers crystal clear, deep bass that can really massage your stomach.
In the film "Polar Express" at the point where the train pulls into the station, the subwoofer was active and you'd think you were right in the middle of it. The Teufel Concept really makes you live the war scenes in the film "Black Hawk Down": the clear voices accompanied by the powerful effects brought goosebumps to the arms of our listeners. The guitar solo by Eric Clapton in the song "Little Wings" also delivered a real adrenaline shot and the Teufel system ensured that we enjoyed it as if it were live.
Even at the high volumes, the set showed no weaknesses and neither the surround loudspeakers nor the subwoofer sounded distorted.
Conclusion:
With the Concept P, Teufel delivers an excellent and excellently priced sound system – one that every home theatre fan would be happy to own. The manufacture is excellent: the aluminium gives the Teufel Concept P a distinguished look that sets it apart from the other members of its price range. The sound quality of films played on the system is also very good. The Teufel Concept P delivers clear voices, dynamic effects and a deep, crisp bass. In the music area, it delivers solid values that are a bonus and not originally intended for the set. One can give a clear recommendation to this set.
