Two plus a half-way technologyThe CL 90 FR column speaker is conceived as a two and a half-way system. Here the total of four mid-range drivers are detached earlier, with the two top drivers working as the crossing points for the dome tweeters.
Advantages of the two and a half-way constructionThere's a reduced interference by avoiding playtimes to the ear, a higher power handling, and a better linear response - up to 100 Hz. When in the bass range, running a lower cutoff frequency provides a fuller-bodied, rounder sound that has, up to now, not been available in column sets as a whole - as the skeptical listener could well attest. The CL 90 FR is a flawless HiFi box, regardless of its slim elegant proportions.
Nonstop D'AppolitoThe two central sound drivers found in the central speaker (CL 90 C) and the sound drivers on the satellites (CL 90 FCR) are identical - creating a harmoniously simultaneous sound, which can only be created through identical driver arrangements.
Flat for flat The Columa 900's flat fronts adapt themselves perfectly to your flatscreen. The centre can sit right underneath the wall or be placed on a stand, while the FCR speakers or a second pair of columns fill the back of the room with amazing sound.
The subwooferThe subwoofer compliments the flat fronts and seamless connections of the front speakers and the centre. The CL 900 SW surprises with the amazing sound that comes from this striking flat subwoofer - 350 watts and two 200 mm woofers can really deliver that bass...
Set selectionIn addition to the subwoofer and centre you can either choose four columns (set 1), or a mix of two "short" satellites and two "long" column speakers (set 3). The columns should always be used as the front speakers of the system.
