Overview of our technologies
The Concept E 100 will help you enter the world of surround sound at the PC at a very attractive price.
The starter set of the new Concept E series is constructed exactly like the top model Concept E 400: an active subwoofer with a very powerful 5.1 amplifier connected to five identical, great-sounding satellite speakers.
Impressive sound experience
The Concept E 100 is primarily designed to be connected directly to the sound card outputs of the computer. Fed by the sound output from a desktop PC or notebook, the speaker set generates an impressive sound experience at the desk, children’s bedroom, or wherever else you find room for the very compactly made set.
PC multimedia and more
But the Concept E 100 offers other options too: DVD player, CD portables, MP3 player, iPod docks, TV set, radio transmission systems and many other components with analogue outputs are compatible as playback devices for the set. A cinch cable connection is enough – you will find all the adapters or cables you might need at the Teufel online shop.
Upmix to five speakers
By the way: The result of an upmix of five speakers and the subwoofer makes even stereo sources sound far better than normal stereo playback!
You can carry out the most common operations directly at the front of the subwoofer: control the volume or bass proportion, and switch to standby mode.
But surely the Concept E 100 will rarely be quieted: its acoustical backdrop is far too impressive. Thanks to a 200 watt amplifier, a 200 mm bass speaker in a voluminous wood casing and five meticulously calibrated satellite speakers, you will quickly notice why the sound quality of Teufel multimedia systems quite literally upstages comparable products.
And ultimately, that’s what really counts…
Because of the many different customer demands we do not include cables with this shipment. You can order matching cables in our Teufel web shop by going to “ Accessories”. They also come as ready-to-connect cable sets and are attractively priced.
- Satellite Speaker CE 10 FCR
- 5.1 Subwoofer CE 100 SW
The integrated 5.1 amplifier boasts a very considerable 200 watts maximum output, which is logically distributed to the six feed channels. At the rear it offers a connection for direct connection to 5.1 sound cards or other analogue sources.
The 200 mm side-mounted bass speaker in the precisely calibrated bass reflex casing guarantees a deep bass that can be also adjusted using the front controller. Just like the total volume and the operating status of the woofer. By the way, power consumption during standby operation: less than 1 watts!
The Concept E 100 SW is only available as part of a Concept E 100 set.

Thanks to a high-performance driver with an 80 mm diameter and a subwoofer with active filtering, it can powerfully play back the complete frequency range between mid-tone and treble without breaks or distortion. The curved front ensures better sound radiation than previous conventional constructions.
The acoustically transparent cover of the 9 x 9 centimetre sound marvel can be removed for “open” operation, but normally has a “floating” mounting: Benefits: Minimisation of edge reflections. A curved front provides improved sound radiation compared to previous constructions.
The supplied matching table stand ensures optimal placement options on a desk or shelf. An optional Shortlock bracket can be used to fasten and then horizontally/vertically swivel the cube. The separately available M 60 P base is an alternative stand placement option.

"As you take the Teufel Concept E 100 from its box, you know it's going to be good. The German-made speakers have an impressive build quality [...]
You get a huge subwoofer in a classy black gloss finish, with all the audio controls on the front for easy access, and five speakers, making this ideal if you plan to watch films or play games in surround sound."
"These speakers produce a great sound and are ideal for movie enthusiasts..."
When gaming, the Concept E 100 astounds with fantastic sound and an excellent low register. It's also not blurred or distorted at high sounds. For the best performance put the system on full - however, warn your neighbors beforehand!
"Empty the ring, folks: with good speakers the game is all inside the ears. And from all sides. 14 loudspeaker systems, ranging from 40 to 450 euro in our test. And in the 5.1 system without decoder the Concept E 100 from Teufel decisively won over the competition. The extreme high sound quality paved the way for this number one."
• Best sound quality in the 5.1 systems

This circumstance would drive up the production and storage costs, which would result in a significantly more expensive sales price.
A paint shop in your vicinity will surely be able to repaint the speaker housing to your preferred colour without loss of warranty - after expiry of the eight-week right of return.
We recommend you increase the volume of the source device connected to the Concept E and, at the same time, reduce the volume of the Concept E. After this, the system should work perfectly.
1. Remove the RCA cable from the input on the subwoofer. If the hum is no longer heard, go to point B. Otherwise, follow point A.
A. Attach the net cable of the subwoofer to another electricity outlet (i.e. Kitchen/Bathroom/Bedroom). If the subwoofer still hums, get in contact with our Support team.
Should the hum no longer be there, the disruption was a problem in your power supply, which can, for instance, be caused by dimmers or chargers. To find out where the disruption is, unplug all your devices and work back from there. As soon as the hum is heard, you now know your source of the disruption.
B. In your case, the "ground hum" is responsible for the disruption. Please proceed as follows to discover your source.
- Disconnect the cable or satellite port from the TV Receiver and check if the hum disappears or not. If it does, you can use a sheath current filter for the cable outlet to prevent this. For example, the sheath current filter AC 9022 ED. If you have a satellite connection, connect the Satellite Receiver to the optical cable playback source - Teufel Optical Digital Cable
- If this reason can be excluded, separate all devices from the AV Receiver one at a time until the hum stops. The last connected device is then your hum source and should be separated from the others using a galvanic separation filter (found in a retail shop)
- If this doesn't work, get in contact with us once again so that we can give an individual, helpful response.
You can check the basic noise level by connecting a signal, via a cinch cable, from an external source that is guaranteed to be good quality – such as a music CD e.g. on a portable CD player – to the Aux L/R input on the subwoofer. If all of the satellites are now playing noise-free, it is because they weren't receiving the right signal before. Either the cinch cable is defective (try swapping them around) or the output of your source appliance is not producing an adequate signal.
However, if you continue to hear increased noise on this channel there is possibly a fault in the Concept F. Please check which satellites are affected by changing the satellites around and to find out whether the satellite or the subwoofer electronics are producing excessive noise. If the fault "moves" with the satellite the satellite is the problem. On the other hand, if the hissing remains on the same channel, the subwoofer amplifier electronics are the cause.
If you can still hear the crackling, please check which satellites are affected by swapping them around and to find out whether the satellite or the subwoofer electronics are generating the excessive crackling. If the "fault" moves with the satellites, the satellite is affected. The subwoofer amplifier electronics may be responsible if you can still hear the crackling.
If the interference continues, try using a shorter high-end shielded and insulated RCA connector cable.
