Overview of our technologies
The Bamster: a mini stereo speaker system for PCs, Macs, and laptops that offers genuine distortion-free stereo sound and detailed spatial reproduction.
Sleek, robust & user friendly
The PC Bamster is the easiest way to improve the sound of your PC, Mac or laptop. Simply connect the Bamster via USB or jack cable, turn it on, and bam! - you’re done. The Bamster is immediately recognized as a sound card via the USB connection. Thanks to the clever one-button design, no tedious set-up gets in the way of you and your sound.
No other product in this price range sounds better than the PC Bamster. The true stereo design produces spatially differentiated, detailed sound that blows every notebook loudspeaker system out of the water. The slanted top directs sound to the listener for an optimal sound experience, and the beautiful high-contrast finish looks great on any desk.
Our engineers here in Berlin created the progressive double bass system: A total of 4 specially tuned drivers poitioned in separate sound chambers. Two of the drivers are full range for refined highs while 2 passive bass drivers deliver deep, strong bass down to 90 Hz - a design that sets the Bamster apart from the competition and raises the bar for ultra-compact speaker sound.

In spite of the supposededly low weight of just under 600 grams, it gives the impression that one could use it to hit a nail in the wall. In this way, Teufel’s smallest soundbar awakens expectations that the sound will be without distortion – and these are not disappointed.
The only control element on the soundbar dominates the front side and asks to be pressed: A press and turn dial. This is subtly illuminated by a white LED, reacts promptly, and comes to rest on softly felt steps. [...]
[Sound quality]: It’s on a high Teufel level as we’ve come to expect. The in-built pair of bass drivers and both broadband loudspeakers in their 2-way arrangement and the ‘double bass’ system in a sealed ensclosure ensure an impressively full sound. The Bamster is able to project itself acoustically better than many 2.1systems on my colleague’s desks.
[…] For just 100 Euros, one gets a soundbar that looks good, is easly to use, and typically Teufel with workmanship that shines with its excellent quality. Since the sound, above all, will also win you over, the money is well spent.

"The compact, 30 cm long, 4.4 cm deep, 5.2 cm high and just 600 gram light soundbar comes in an attractive, solid aluminium enclosure that not only gives the device a high-end look, but ensures fewer vibrations and a clearer sound reproduction. [...] Thanks to the 3.5 mm stereo input, the Bamster can also be easily connected to any MP3 player and every smartphone [...].”
"Under the hood, there are a total of 4 drivers located in separate sound chambers. Two bass drivers operating in a so-called ‘progressive double bass system’ ensure deep, strong bass all theway down to 90 Hz. Two additional broadband speakers also ensure clear highs. Thanks to an integrated soundcard, the device is easily recognized by just about every PC and Mac. [...]“
"The controls couldn’t be easier. Three seconds worth of pressur on the dial activates the Bamster. A white light beneath provides a visual signal that the system is ready. To regulate the volume, one simply turns the dial. [...]“
"If you’re really looking for a needle in a haystack, one could notice an absence in the restrained midrange due to the 2-way system but this does not in any serious way interfere with the listening enjoyment and would really be a luxury complaint. [...]“
"[... ] The workmanship is at a high level, the controls were designed for simplicity, the volume in relation to the size is pleasantly loud (after all, one usually sits in the immediate vicinity) and also evinces suprisingly strong levels in the sound image [... ]. If you’re looking for a compact soundbar that is not battery driven, you can’t go wrong with the [PC ] Bamster [... ].”

The vulcanised rubber bottom ensures a secure grip on all surfaces. In terms of workmanship, there is practically nothing about the soundbar to find fault with. The back is especially well made – there are no sharp edges or uneven spots on the varnish.”
“The soundbar achieves a maximum power output of 5 watts. [...] We were impressed by our test model‘s enormous level stability. Even at 90% of maximum volume levels, there was no detectible distortion. The Bamster only started to wheeze a bit at the very highest volume level.”
“A convincing tone was produced in spite of its small size. High and powerful ranges were no problem for our test model. In fact, the compact soundbar really came into its own during heavy bass sequences.”
“With the Bamster, Teufel Audio has delivered a very interesting product. The complete soundbar is not only the ideal traveling companion, it looks and sounds good in an office environment. High-quality workmanship and an easy set-up are two additional selling points.”

For stationary use, there is a built-in power adapter. A large volume regulator as well as an auxiliary input are situated on the extremely robust enclosure. No other test model produced such precise and life-like sound. The bass was also very clear. That it lacks power is not entirely surprising based on the small size and isn’t a major deterrent. Those who listen to a lot of music and place more value on quality than on pounding sound are well served by the Bamster.”
“Thanks to a progressive double bass system, Teufel promises amazingly powerful bass considering the small enclosure volume. A total of 4 drivers, including two 56 mm aluminium bass drivers, ensure low levels of distortion and level stability. Both of the other two 32 mm drivers are full range with coated cellulose membranes. 5 watts of continuous power handling and 15 watts of peak power capacity are well within the normal range for a product like this [...] At any rate, 83 dB/m maximum sound pressure is possible with a frequency range of 90 Hz to 20 kHz. A sealed enclosure design also contributes to the precise sound.”
“Thanks to a special and favourably aligned dispersion angle, the sound reproduction achieves a remarkable ambiance which, however, drops as one moves further away from the PC. We were generally pleased with the fresh, lively, and pleasant tone as well as the clean voice and instrument differentiation. The amount of bass the PC Bamster is able to churn out is impressive for such a compact, flat ‘rock bar,’ but even Teufel can’t circumvent the laws of physics. There’s not much going on in the lower ranges, but starting with 100 to 120 Hz, the PC Bamster delivers a noteworthy performance.”
“How does the PC Bamster fare in terms of movie sound? We gave the trailer for ‘Oblivion’ a listen and were pleasantly surprised: The speech intelligibility was once again very good; yet the voices were not overly emphasised, but rather blended into the overall sound. Effects were easily discernible and could be clearly identified by their structures. The film’s score was very well integrated and the explosions featured in the trailer contributed well to the overall ambiance. The trailer for the second part of the ‘G.I. Joe’ film series offered a wide range of massive sound effects. At high volumes, it could to some extent be observed that the avalanche of bass present in the trailer brought the Bamster to its limits. Very deep effects can, unfortunately, not be reproduced, but all frequencies are so well represented in the spectacle that this movie presents, that we even needed to turn down the volume at times. For its size, the PC Bamster made a very respectable showing.”
“With the PC Bamster, Teufel has created a new product category: An incredibly elegant and high-quality yet compact and powerful loudspeaker in a soundbar design for notebooks. When used as an external sound card, the PC Bamster will win you over with its clear, rich sound and very low levels of distortion.”
