Overview of our technologies
The Cinebar 11 hits all the right notes with a slender, elegant design and powerful sound. Just 8 cm high, the Cinebar along with its handy wireless subwoofer won’t get in the way of your living room interior. Instead, the system places the emphasis where it belongs: The sound.
A tweeter and three midrange drivers empower each side of the Cinebar 11 with perfectly balanced sound along the entire frequency range. Enjoy high-resolution, realistic playback with television programs, movies and games.
The Cinebar 11 is equipped with Bluetooth for effortlessly streaming high-quality music from smartphones, tablets and PCs. An HDMI input and output make it possible to easily connect the sound system to your TV. HDMI ARC support means a single HDMI cable is all you’ll need. HDMI CEC makes it possible to control the system with your existing TV remote. Alternately, the audio signal can be fed to the system via optical or analog input.
Integrated Virtual Surround Technology ensures authentic 3-dimenstionality that comes very close to that of a full 5.1 surround sound system. Instead of simply converting surround signals from your television into stereo, as some soundbars do, Virtual Surround transforms the signal in real time and distributes it to the eight drivers. The result is an amazingly immersive sound experience. Important notice regarding the initial pairing procedure for the wireless subwoofer.
The subwoofer is controlled wirelessly. Audio transmission is lossless and without delays. You only need one cable connection.
There is a tuner and bass reflex tube on the underside of the device. The bass reflex system allows for deep, strong bass even from such compact dimensions.

Fazit:

"The system can digest stereo, Dolby Digital and DTS signals. The surround mode ensures a good 3-dimensional sound image and transports the viewer into the events of the movie. When it comes to the sound, the compact soundbar can deliver a big performance. The mid and treble ranges play very cleanly and dynamically even at raised levels. In this way, not only movie soundtracks but also music in stereo is a true pleasure with the Cinebar.”
"All the while, the performance in the bass range is impressive. The subwoofer does its job well. It doesn’t just push out the bass deeply and loudly but also with precision into the living room.”
Conclusion
"The Teufel Cinebar 11 comes with a full-fledged soundbar. Together with a complete feature set, all necessary connections and – above all – the mature sound, the price / performance ratio is positively sensational. Connections and controls are child’s play and thanks to the wireless subwoofer, the amount of work required to cable the system is minimal.”

"[After turning on the TV], the Teufel Cinebar 11 turned itself on in really a fraction of a second.“
"The sound was played back very clearly and distinctly. The subwoofer does its job well and unexcitedly in the background.“
"All-in-all the Teufel Cinebar 11 has a very balanced and pleasant sound. The surround function is supposed to create a “virtual surround” effect from a 2.1 system. The result when this function has been activated is truly astonishing. The sound seems much more dimensional and appears to truly be coming from different directions.”
Teufel Cinebar 11 Conclusion
"[T]he Teufel Cinebar 11 is a well executed system for the simple and space-saving improvement of television sound. Ease of use and a balanced sound make this set’s performance a success […]. Above all, the clear and precise vocal playback is to be commended. The Bluetooth interface with NFC synchronization is a cool and really easy to use extra that enhances the overall positive impression.”

"Aside from stero sound, the Teufel device also masters surround sound simulation. […] The loudspeakers have a very balanced and clean sound – far better than television audio. The forward radiating dispersion also enhances speach intelligibility. The maximum volume is considerable. The soundbar is also well suited for larger rooms and for listening to music. This it can receive via Buetooth - from smartphones, for example.“
Conclusion
"Great sound from a slender loudspeaker bar: For 300 Euro, the Cinebar 11 is hard to beat.“
www.computerbild.de/avf/
"[...T]he Teufel solution [employs] four sensible methods: Eight loudspeaker drivers, a display plus two HDMI connections [...] enable this inexpensive system to make a big impact. The typically Teufel, solidly constructed active subwoofer is connected wirelessly.“
2Even the details are right: The developers placed the AUX input for [...] mobile players in an easy-to-reach position next to the control buttons located on the top.”
"Voices [...] come across clearly and with little colouration. In addition, the system offers an imposing low range that offers substance and clarity in equal measure. [...] Music recordings in stereo evinced a proper dynamism [...]. Compared to the two channel playback of other soundbars, the Cinebar has a pleasantly large soundstage and fine, lively highs. The voice playback also earns it praise. “

Powerful Subwoofer
"The sub receives bass signals wirelessly from the Cinebar and can be positioned either horizontally or vertically. The integrated amplifier supplies it with 60 watts.”
Test result
"The Teufel is remarkably easy to use. The remote features a button for all important functions including source selection [...]. The surround mode creates a good, 3-dimensional sound image and transports the viewer into the action. In terms of sound, the compact soundbar knows how to deliver. The mid and upper ranges play very cleanly and dynamically, even at higher levels. In this way, not only are movie soundtracks fun, but music in stereo is a real enjoyment with the Cinebar. The performance in the bass range is impressive. The subwoofer does its job very well and pushed the bass [...] into the living room with precision.“
Conclusion
"With a complete set of features, all the necessary connections and – above all – a full sound, the price/performance ratio is really sensationally good. Connecting and controlling the system is child’s play. Thanks to the wireless subwoofer, the work involved in connecting the cables is minimal.”
www.heimkino-magazin.de
"Setting up the system is quickly and easily accomplished […]. And it’s at least as easy to wirelessly connect the soundbar to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth […]. Along with an optical input, […] a 3.5 mm stereo input is at one’s disposal. In addition, the Cinebar offers an HDMI input and output.”
"The Cinebar is at home with […] film sound […] and offers […] a very pleasant sound image. The Cinebar is able to fill the soundstage it creates regardless of genre, […]. If there are atmospheric effects, then one hears them with the Cinebar.”
"[T]he Cinebar [can] really perform, especially when it's a matter of rendering large dynamic differences […]. Not only is the separate subwoofer to be praised, but above all the collaboration between the soundbar and the subwoofer.”
"The soundbar’s clarity and ability to differentiate, even with very dynamic acoustic material, is very strong. [T]he virtual surround sound [was] very convincing […]. The Cinebar was able to preserve these positive qualities at even louder volumes.“
Closing thoughts
[T]he Cinebar 11 […] completely won us over with its clear sound supported by a wireless subwoofer that makes it a successful and above all a very affordable alternative for living rooms in which there is not enough space for a larger system.
You can read the entire test review (in German) here:
This soundbar scores points [...] with an attractive look: A perforated metal grille [...] protects from damage; Thanks to a matte black surface, finger prints and reflections from the screen are prevented. It becomes apparent how little space the soundbar takes up when it is set [...] upon a surface. Wall-mount brackets and recesses for connections allow it to be hung on a wall. The controls benefit from a light coloured display that can be switched off if needed.
During the listening test, the Teufel surprised us – unusual for such a small transducer [...]. The bass reflex sub plays [...] cleanly and with a lot of pressure. The 30 Hertz bass delivered effortless playback which lent the overall sound a fullness and maturity. The soundbar reproduced the mids and the highs transparenty and without colouration. The device is characterized by a broad dispersion from top to bottom, while the mids become increasingly softer as one moves to either side of the centerless soundbar. The optional surround mode can expand the stereo panorama [...]
AV Conclusion:
For a low price, Teufel delivers big sound that takes up relatively little space with the Cinebar 11. Since both the feature set and workmanship were top, we’re categorizing it as a price recommendation.

"Wraz z soundbarem, otrzymujesz w zestawie aktywny subwoofer. Ten łączy się płynnie z Cinebar 11. Przycisk parowania z tyłu urządzenia pozwala źródłu basu łatwo i bezprzewodowo połączyć się z soundbarem."
Komponenty i dźwięk
"Szczelna obudowa Cinebar 11 skrywa dwa tweetery [...]. W połączeniu z sześcioma driverami średniotonowymi, [...]dźwięk, który wydobywa się z głośnika podbija nasze serca. To spore osiągnięcie, zwłaszcza wziąwszy pod uwagę kompaktowe wymiary urządzenia. Trójwymiarowość dźwięku nie pozostawia nic do życzenia, a porównanie pełnowymiarowym systemu dźwięku przestrzennego po prostu nasuwa się samo. Dialogi brzmią czysto i są łatwe do zrozumienia. Oddzielenie głosu i innych efektów następuje bezproblemowo. Łatwo zauważysz nawet subtelne efekty. Wewnątrz aktywnego subwoofera znajduje się driver niskotonowy o średnicy 165 mm. Subwoofer harmonijnie współgra z panelem dźwiękowym i zapewnia mocny i potężnie brzmiący bas. [...]"
Wniosek:
[...] Z głośnika wydobywa sie niezwykły dźwięk, a dzięki subtelnemu designowi, soundbar łatwo zmieści sie w każdym salonie. Cinebar 11 jest idealnym wyborem dla miłośników kina domowego z ograniczoną przestrzenąa i jako taki, nie pozostawia nic do życzenia.

Along with a HDMI socket with audio feedback channel, Teufel – like its competitor Panasonic - provides an additional HDMI input for a Blu-ray player or game console. Optical and coaxial connection options are also available. As an additional feature, there’s a Bluetooth interface as well as virtual surround. As we have come to expect from Teufel, no audio cables are included with delivery, but it did come with a practical wall mount. In terms of sound quality, the Cinebar impressed us the most out of all the test devices.
In spite of a relatively small size, the subwoofer delivered the most powerful and dynamic bass performance of all. A room filling stereo image with crystal clear highs and a all-around balanced character completes the excellent listening impression. You can, by the way, do without the surround effects here as well.”
Plus points: Slender design / high-quality workmanship / impressive, powerful soundstage / also suitable for music
SFT Online
The connection possibilities are comprised of an HDMI input, an HDMI output, an optical digital input, a 3.5 mm analogue stereo jack input and, as a wireless option, Bluetooth with NFC. The Cinebar 11 has a very pleasant appearance. Teufel opted out of the high-gloss look in favour of a matte synthetic. The front drivers are positioned behind precisely fitted metal grilles and enhanced with a chrome ring – a nice detail that immediately increases the perceived value of the workmanship.
The active subwoofer is wirelessly connected [...] 90 watts is given as the subwoofer channel’s maximum power capacity. The continuous power capacity is 60 watts. The bass driver can produce frequencies from 42 t0 200 Hz and operates according to a bass reflex principle.”
"Acoustically, it’s, of course, not so easy to pull the maximum from a very compact enclosure. We’re therefore eager to see whether Teufel managed to achieve a rich, lively sound. We listened to the Blu-ray disc “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” starting with the second chapter. The gigantic hangar door opens with a powerful drone. The active subwoofer does a very good job here and ensures a respectable volume.
Ideally, the room should measure about 12 by 20 square metres. The Cinebar 11 unfurls an astonishingly rich and intense sound in this room size, and higher levels are no problem. The musical score was well integrated; the collaboration between the subwoofer and the soundbar is perfectly executed. The sound seems full, but is at the same time precise and dynamic.
When the movie really heats up [...], the Cinebar 11 comes into its own: The punches and gun shots are penetrating, the vehicle sounds and crashes are not only impressive, they reach the listener with clearly differentiated levels. Due to the broad horizontal dispersion angle, it’s no problem to include a number of listeners in the enjoyment of the Cinebar 11’s sound quality.
The virtual surround sound function is a success. It creates a large addition of realistic dimensionality, without damping the tone or making it sound tinny. Spatial widths as well as depth are considerably – and successfully – enhanced.
The Bluetooth connection is easily established even when NFC is not used. One simply presses the “BT Pairing” button on the remote and the Cinebar 11 is ready to connect. If a smartphone is Bluetooth enabled, it takes less than 30 seconds for the connection to be established.
Conclusion
"Late bloomer: Teufel’s first flat soundbar comes onto the market just in time for the Christmas season. Good workmanship, a reasonable price, and equipped with all the modern, in-demand features, the Cinebar 11 set is doubtlessly a good deal. The sound evinces clarity, powerful bass, and dimensionality.
Like a ‘Berlin hip flask’: Chic, fully loaded, and powerful - the Cinebar 11 plays into the hearts of consumers.”

While this is essentially correct – the soundbar and subwoofer do automatically pair with each other when switched on – this only happens after an initial setup procedure. To pair the two devices for the first time, please proceed as follows:
1) Connect the soundbar and subwoofer to power.
2) Press the “Menu” button on the Cinebar 11’s remote control. Next, go to the menu option “WS” and confirm your selection by pressing the “OK” button.
3) Press “OK” again in order to access the menu option “LINK” and then “START”. The word “SEARCH” will appear on the Cinebar 11’s display.
4) Next, press the button on the back of the subwoofer marked “Pairing”.
5) Both devices are now connected. Once the status “OK” appears on the soundbar’s display, both devices will be permanently connected. The pairing procedure now takes place automatically whenever both devices are turned on.
1. Remove the RCA cable from the input on the subwoofer. If the hum is no longer heard, go to point B. Otherwise, follow point A.
A. Attach the net cable of the subwoofer to another electricity outlet (i.e. Kitchen/Bathroom/Bedroom). If the subwoofer still hums, get in contact with our Support team.
Should the hum no longer be there, the disruption was a problem in your power supply, which can, for instance, be caused by dimmers or chargers. To find out where the disruption is, unplug all your devices and work back from there. As soon as the hum is heard, you now know your source of the disruption.
B. In your case, the "ground hum" is responsible for the disruption. Please proceed as follows to discover your source.
- Disconnect the cable or satellite port from the TV Receiver and check if the hum disappears or not. If it does, you can use a sheath current filter for the cable outlet to prevent this. For example, the sheath current filter AC 9022 ED. If you have a satellite connection, connect the Satellite Receiver to the optical cable playback source - Teufel Optical Digital Cable
- If this reason can be excluded, separate all devices from the AV Receiver one at a time until the hum stops. The last connected device is then your hum source and should be separated from the others using a galvanic separation filter (found in a retail shop)
- If this doesn't work, get in contact with us once again so that we can give an individual, helpful response.
The corresponding setting in the speaker set-up must be adjusted individually for each source for many receivers, however, e.g. for CD playback only front without woofer, and front speakers plus woofer for Dolby Surround video playback.
To make sure the subwoofer switches on and off correctly in automatic mode, (to be selected on the corresponding switch of the subwoofer, such as "Auto / On / Off"), we recommend turning the level control on the subwoofer to 1/3 or perhaps to 1/2 and increasing the output level for the sub in the receiver's speaker set-up – sometimes up to the maximum (+10 dB or +12 dB). The subwoofer should then work perfectly.
The maximum position of the output level in the speaker set-up of the AV Receiver is obligatory for some of our models (e.g. the Concept S subwoofer).
2. The active subwoofer makes it possible to set the volume separately from the remaining speakers.
3. Only an active subwoofer can be connected directly to the subwoofer connection of a home cinema receiver.
You can connect it like a standard speaker system: the five satellites via speaker cable to the corresponding speaker outputs front R/L, rear R/L and centre of the AV Receiver/amplifier and the subwoofer from the front R input via a mono-RCA cable to the Sub Out output on the A/V Receiver/amplifier.
Please note:
The auto on/standby switch only responds when the front R input is being used! The subwoofer also receives the full subwoofer signal via this channel.
If the AV Receiver/amplifier has preamplifier outputs for all channels (front R/L, rear R/L, centre and subwoofer), the Teufel set can also be connected via three RCA cable pairs to the subwoofer and the satellites via speaker cables to the subwoofer. However, we recommend using the first version.
Solution:
Separate the direct connection by a grounding filter for the antennae cable that is created for it - for instance, the Teufel modell sheath current filter AC 9022 ED. Alternatively, you can use a galvanic separation filter that is looped into the connection between the subwoofer and AV Receiver.
The hum disappears if the antennae cable is separated from the Receiver/Tuner/TV. First try the grounding filter, otherwise the galvanic separation filter.
Placement within the straight line between both front satellites is ideal - but not precisely in the corner of the room because certain frequency components could be unpleasantly excessive when played back.
The membranes of the satellites should move to the front at the same time as the membrane of the subwoofer bass speaker, because all speakers of the system must vibrate in phase for optimal playback. This means that (provided the connection has the correct polarity) all drivers must move in one direction when the three front speakers receive a pulse (towards the outside or towards the inside).
If the subwoofer is in line with the front speakers, its bass speaker should have the same direction of movement (phase) - the controller on the woofer is set to "0". If the subwoofer is not between the front speakers, but is to the side of or even behind the listening location, its phase length will not match that of the front speakers. That is why the phase of the subwoofer must be changed in such cases.
So much for the theory. In practice, this means: Listen to a loud piece of music with heavy basses and ask a second person to change the phase during playback. The correct setting of the phase switch depends on where the subwoofer is positioned in the room. The position where the bass playback (above all the upper bass range) sounds the fullest is the correct position. Have fun trying it out!
