Connecting subwoofer/satellite combinations

Connecting subwoofer/satellite systems to a stereo amplifier

Your amplifier/receiver has a dedicated subwoofer ouput, usually a one-channel, single cinch socket labeled sub out or “pre out.”
The subwoofer is connected via line in to the “R” socket with a single channel mono cinch cable with the sub output on the amplifier. The line in “L” connection is left untouched. If a Y splitter cable is used, two cinch plugs can be attached to the subwoofer panels in the line in “L” and “R.” This will increase the volume of the audio output.

Both stereo speakers are connected to the left and right terminals of loudspeaker output A with loudspeaker cables.
