Cubycon Impaq

The Cubycon Impaq is the best-sounding complete Blu-Ray system in this price class. A high-end amplifier from Texas Instruments ensures true-to-source, distortion-free playback with excellent impulse fidelity and dynamics. Aluminium enclosures were enhanced with an anodised surface for an elegant finish. The original cloth covers of the Cubycon satellites were also replaced by subtly convex aluminium grilles.  This design has both better acoustic permeability offers improved driver protection.

The centerpiece of the Cubycon, its clever coax driver technology, was completely re-worked and improved through a series of extended listening tests. The result: Even more neutral playback, more details and a higher efficiency rating (90 dB at 2.83 V/ 1 m) as well as a high, distortion-free maximum level of 100 dB/1 m.

Each enclosure made from low resonance aluminium contains a coax driver unit specially designed for the Cubycon. This consist of an 80 mm midrange driver with a 20 mm horn tweet positioned directly in front. The two drivers combined a long a single access form an ideal wave guide for the upper range. A separate 80 mm midbass driver is paired with this sonic duo. All three drivers make use of an especially light membrane. The division of the frequency range among three drivers ensures that each driver is perfectly able to play back the range in which it specialises.

The crossover is comprised of only four components. This simplicity means that the signal is converted into sound without any external influences. With the Cubycon, you won’t experience aggressive highs and booming, exaggerated bass. A linear frequency response and neutral playback with movies, music and games is what this system was made for.

All satellites are equipped with the same drivers. This allows details to be perfectly localised while gaming and creates a feeling of being in the middle of the action with films. The use of wave guide technology creates a sweet spot large enough to include your nearest and dearest.

Integrated mounts allow the satellites to be wall-mounted directly beneath or above a flat screen TV. Placement on a shelf or stand is also possible.

The Impaq Blu-ray A/V receiver is a Blu-ray/DVD/CD player, AV receiver, network player, radio and much more. You won’t require any other device to enjoy 5.1 surround with the best possible sound and greatest number of playback options. A single slimline receiver measuring just 8 cm tall is all you need.

The Impaq 8000 delivers balanced sound and stable levels across the entire frequency spectrum. A highly efficient class D amplifier from Texas Instruments gives the little system plenty of power.

The system's ability to process and decode video content is also state-of-the-art. Not only does the Impaq 8000 support this standard, an integrated upscaling function can convert HD content into 4K.

PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, television, SAT or cable receiver, Apple TV, smartphones and tablets can be easily integrated itno the system via one of the Impaq's HDMI, digital or anlog inputs.

7.1 option: An RCA pre-out connection on the back makes it possible to expand 5.1 into 7.1 setups. Note that active speakers must be connected to the pre-out. With a Rear Station 4, even passive speakers can be integrated and wirelessly controlled.
